But... there's more to the story
Many more are entrapped by people they know through complicated domestic situations that leave them vulnerable and helpless.
They need a voice.
They need an answer - especially when they've lost hope... when they're afraid of hurting their families... when they're ashamed... when they don't want their home to be torn apart suddenly... when they want help but aren't ready yet. They want something better, but IN THEIR OWN TIME, AT THEIR OWN PACE
They need protection from what's around them through people they can trust. They need people who can be ready to listen and understand the situation, and can help safely, delicately, and slowly bring them out when they're ready. They need people who have the means and resources to extend beyond the scope of their situation and bring them out. They need a network of safety, or as we call it, a ..."SAFE - WALL."
To help combat the hopelessness that comes with being a victim without a voice, we are organizing a database of individuals around the world who want to be a part of helping those at risk. We simply keep their contact information, resources, and abilities on file, and access them only when absolutley necessary. We will always exhaust all possible safe channels of help for those requesting aid before reaching into our database. If all possible options of going through regular channels of aid are not working appropriately or according with upstanding accountability, we will reach up the chain of aid until we can find someone that can circumvent the disrupting or abusive party/parties. We also use our database to help those who serve in victim-care capacities, such as first responders, agency representatives, chaplains, and health workers, by connecting them to the right contacts if the situation or case they're dealing with goes beyond the scope of their abilities or practice. SafeWall reserves the right to decline the connections or acknowledgment of any contacts the foundation chooses. The communications of participants within the network will not be kept or processed through the organization itself. SafeWall simply serves as an intermediary that helps connect those in need. SafeWall affiliates may endeavor to aid those in danger by connecting them with the right resources, but it is not an investigative or a rescue organization.
To join the SafeWall Network, we ask that you provide your name, number, email, and what sort of work you do. If you feel that you may have access to resources that would help individuals suffering from abusive entrapment, or may help other first responders and care providers as they try to handle or understand situations beyond their scope of resources, please let us know with a brief description. We appreciate your endeavor to make a difference in a hurting world by connecting the hurting with the helping.
The SafeWall Training Initiative is a training program that provides tools and skill building resources to help individuals take back their safety and independence amidst difficult domestic situations and abuse. Our goal is to empower victims and those concerned for them by showing how to securely surround themselves with safety checks and barriers that help prevent them from being coerced and pressured by perpetrators and foul forces around them.
Stay tuned for upcoming classes and resources to help build your resiliency toolbox. Our website it also under construction, with much more to come.
If you would like SafeWall to come to your area or agency, fill out the information below and we'll reach out to you shortly. We're always excited to partner with those endeavoring to build a resilient community against the darkness. Our partnerships and trainings are especially recommended for law enforcement, health practices, social service agencies, nonprofit aid organizations, and churches. The bigger the community of involvement, the stronger the unheard voice can be.
